Websites
Landing page or full website: which one does your business need?
What each one is for, what each costs at Dark Media, and the simple test we use to tell clients which to build first.
If you are about to spend money on ads, you will hear two opinions: build a landing page first, or build a proper website first. Each suits a different kind of business, and the deciding question is where your visitors will come from.
What each one is for
A landing page is one page with one job. Someone clicks an ad, lands on it, and either calls, sends a WhatsApp message or fills a short form. There is no menu to wander through, and every section answers one more doubt before the button.
A website is your company’s home online. It has a page for each service, an about page, contact details for every branch, articles and case studies. People reach it from Google, from your social profiles and by typing your name. It answers many questions for many kinds of visitors.
| Landing page | Website | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | One action from one audience | Trust and enquiries from many audiences |
| Main traffic | Paid ads | Google search, social, direct visits and ads |
| Pages | One | Usually 5 to 15 |
| Time at Dark Media | 5 to 7 days | 2 to 4 weeks |
| Starting price at Dark Media | $299 | $499 |
Start with a landing page if
- You sell one main service or product and want calls or WhatsApp messages this month.
- Your visitors will come from Meta, Google or TikTok ads.
- You want to test an offer before paying for a full site.
- You already have a website, but it talks about everything and converts nobody.
Our work for a home-appliance maintenance centre is a good example: one Arabic page built for Google Ads, the phone number on every screen and every call tracked. The Glem Gas case study shows how it is put together.
Start with a full website if
- People search for you by name, or for several different services.
- You want to appear on Google without paying for every click. That takes many pages, each answering one search.
- You sell to companies that check your work, team and address before they call.
- You have more than one branch or more than one type of customer.

When you need both
Most growing businesses end up with a website and a few landing pages next to it. The website builds trust and ranks on Google. Each landing page serves one campaign, with a headline and offer that match the ad. When the ad and the page say the same thing, people stay. When they don’t, they leave within seconds and your cost per lead climbs.
Still deciding where the ads should run? Read Meta Ads or Google Ads first, because the answer changes what the landing page should say.
What a good landing page includes
- A headline that repeats the ad’s promise. Visitors should know they are in the right place within two seconds.
- Proof near the top. Real reviews, real project photos, years in business.
- One action, repeated. Call, WhatsApp or a short form, with the same button after each section.
- Answers to the top five doubts. Price range, delivery time, guarantee, location and payment methods.
- Speed on mobile data. Most visitors arrive on a phone. A page that takes five seconds to appear loses many of them before it loads.
- Tracking that counts leads. Every call, message and form sent to GA4 and the ad platform, so the budget can move to what works.
Questions we get
Can a landing page rank on Google?
It can rank for one narrow search, but it is not built for that. A landing page has one topic and little text. A website with a page per service has a far better chance in organic search.
Can my landing page become a website later?
Yes. We design landing pages on the same system as full sites, so the brand, sections and tracking carry over when you add pages.
How long does each one take?
At Dark Media, 5 to 7 days for a landing page and 2 to 4 weeks for a company website. Our week-by-week website timeline shows where the time goes.
