How much does a website cost in Egypt in 2026?

The short answer: a professional landing page in Egypt costs from about $299, a company website from $499, an online store from $799 and a custom web application from $1,400. Cheaper options exist, and so do quotes ten times higher. Here is what sits behind the number, so you can compare offers fairly.

Typical price ranges in 2026

Type of websiteTypical rangeTimeline
Landing page for ads$299 to $7005 to 7 days
Company website, 5 to 10 pages$499 to $1,5002 to 4 weeks
Online store$799 to $3,0003 to 6 weeks
Web app, dashboard or portal$1,400 and up4 to 10 weeks

These are Dark Media prices and they sit in the middle of the Egyptian market. Freelancers using ready-made themes can go lower; large agencies with long approval chains often go much higher.

What actually changes the price

1. Custom design or a theme

A purchased theme is cheaper upfront but usually slower, harder to change and looks like thousands of other sites. A custom design costs more but is built around your customers and your brand.

2. Number of languages

An Arabic and English site is not just a translation. Right-to-left layouts, Arabic typography and separate URLs for search engines add real work. Budget roughly 30 to 50 percent more than a single-language site.

3. Content

Who writes the text and who provides the photos? Copywriting and product photography are often the hidden cost that delays launches for weeks.

4. Integrations

Payment gateways such as Paymob and Fawry, shipping companies, CRMs and ERPs each add scope. A connection between your ERP and your store can be a project on its own.

5. What happens after launch

Hosting, domain, security updates, backups and small edits. Ask whether the quote includes a support period and what a change costs after that.

Red flags when comparing quotes

  • No written scope. If the pages and features are not listed, you cannot tell what you are paying for.
  • You do not own the domain, hosting or code. Everything should be in your name from day one.
  • No mention of speed, SEO or tracking. A site that is slow or invisible on Google is expensive at any price.
  • A price with no questions asked. A serious agency needs to understand your business before quoting.

How to get an accurate quote

Write down three things before you contact anyone: what the site must achieve (calls, sales, bookings), who it is for, and three sites you like and why. With that, any good agency can give you a fixed price within two days. At Dark Media we send a written proposal within 48 hours of a free 30-minute call.
