Facebook ads for local businesses in Egypt: a setup that brings customers
How a clinic, restaurant, shop or service business in Egypt should run Facebook and Instagram ads: objective, area targeting, offer, creative, tracking and budget.
A local business doesn’t need the whole country to see its ads. It needs the people who live or work nearby, at the moment they need what it sells. Facebook and Instagram ads do that well when the campaign is set up for calls, messages and visits instead of likes. This is the setup we use for clinics, restaurants, shops and service companies.
1. Pick the result you want
Choose the campaign objective by the action that brings you money:
| Business | Best first result | Campaign objective |
|---|---|---|
| Clinic, salon, maintenance | A booking or a call | Leads, or messages on WhatsApp |
| Restaurant, café | An order or a visit | Messages, or traffic to your ordering page |
| Shop with an online store | A purchase | Sales, with the pixel and the Conversions API set up |
| Real estate, education | A serious enquiry | Leads, with an instant form and screening questions |
2. Target the area, not the country
Set a radius around your location, or choose the districts you actually serve. A delivery restaurant in Nasr City gains nothing from an impression in Alexandria. Start broad on interests inside that area, let the platform find the people who respond, then narrow by results.
3. Make an offer worth stopping for
People scroll past ads that only show a logo. Give a clear reason to act now: a first-visit price, a free check-up, a set menu, delivery within the hour, or a limited number of bookings this week. Show the price when you can, because a visible price filters out people who were never going to buy.
4. Creative that looks local
- Real photos and short videos of your place, team and product, filmed vertically for Stories and Reels.
- The offer in the first three seconds and in the text.
- Arabic that sounds like your customers, and the area name when it matters.
- Three or four versions at once, so the budget moves to the one that works.
5. Track what happens after the click
Likes and reach don’t pay rent. Track the actions that matter: form leads, WhatsApp chats, calls and purchases. Install the Meta pixel and the Conversions API, use a separate WhatsApp link for ads, and note in a simple sheet which leads became customers. That gives you the true cost of each customer.
6. Set a budget you can judge
Start with a daily budget you can keep for at least two weeks without touching it, so the campaign has time to learn. Judge it by cost per lead and cost per customer, then raise the budget slowly on what works. Our ad management fee starts from $449 a month, and you pay the ad spend to Meta directly.
Common mistakes
- Boosting posts for engagement and expecting sales.
- Targeting all of Egypt for a business that serves one district.
- Sending ad traffic to a slow page, or to a WhatsApp number nobody answers quickly.
- Changing the campaign every day before it has enough results to judge.
Questions about local Facebook ads
Facebook or Instagram?
The same campaign can run on both. Let the platform place the ads, then check the results by placement after two weeks.
How fast will I see results?
Messages and leads often start in the first days. A reliable cost per customer needs two to four weeks of data.
Do you manage campaigns for local businesses?
Yes. First campaigns are usually live within seven to ten days, with tracking and a one-page monthly report: visits, leads, cost per lead and sales.
